Can't Stop, Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation

I know you can't listen to a book, but this one is so good you can almost hear it. A very in depth look at the culture and music in NY and Jamaica from the 60's onward covering urban planning, youth gang culture, the origins of dub, graffitti, and super cool interviews with tons of people like DJ Kool Herc and Africa Bambaataa, and i'm only on page 93 out of 500! I know its a whopping $29, and i've never spent that much on a book, but this one's worth it.
TTC: French Hip-Hop

TTC: Ceci N'Est Pas un Disque (02)
It's french. I don't know what they're singing, but after reading great reviews of thier new album Batards Sensibles (05) i thought i'd check them out. I havn't heard much of that album yet, i'll try and get it tomorrow, but this older one is pretty good itself. It's pretty dance oriented, interesting stuff.

Madvillain: Madvillainy (04)

Allright, i can rest for the day. I was getting worried listening to crap all day that i wasn't going to find a good album today. Here it is, (this album is not good, it's amazing - 2 days later)

Common: Be (05)
All right, I think this album deserves a post. His 6th album apparently (1st for me) it just came out on may 24. Produced by Kanye West, which i guess bothers some people who think he's too manistream. Whatever, it's a good album, especially the first half. Go get it, its free like everything else on file sharing.
